This is my review of a exercise DVD Program called Chalean Extreme by Charlene Johnson which is claimed that can Burn Up to 60% Body Fat

This exercise workout is a 3 month program. Each month Charlene teaches you a different phase of exercise. Along with the DVDs, you’ll also get a calender to show you which workout to do each day and how much weight to lift. Charlene suggests you to write how many repetitions you can do in each exercise so you monitor your progress day by day.
In this program you will do 3 days a week of weight training. This is only about 35 minutes long each 2 days of cardio and interval training. The total is 5 days exercise and 2 days of resting.
The exercise itself is pretty easy. It doesn’t take a lot of space. But you do need to invest in dumbbells in different weight.
If you need to tone up your body, this is a GREAT DVD workout to get. If you want to lose weight, in my opinion, this is probably not the best option. This is a strength training workout, which means you won’t find a lot of cardio in this DVD. But I’ll tell you that the small portion of cardio and interval training in this DVD is actually really killer.
This is workout obviously not for everybody. What I mean by not for everybody is, some people might think this exercise program is too easy and some others might think is difficult. Some think this exercise program lacks cardio and for some others it’s more than enough. It all depends on the person’s perspective.
Before you start buying DVD workouts, you have to ask yourself,
“what is the goal I want to target.”
“Do I want to lose weight or do I want to just tone up my body?”
“How far is my exercise level?”
“Am I beginner, intermediate or advanced?”
In a way you don’t end up buying expensive DVDs then throw them away underneath the TV full of dust. What a waste.
Based on my experience, the workout itself is really amazing. It is sort of like woman’s soft version of P90x. The main point of this exercise is repetition and muscle failure. The success of this program depends on how far you can go with the weight. The quality is more important here than the quantity. it means this is not about tons repetition you can do but how to reach failure with less repetition. In most of exercises, the repetition goes up to 12 but you can always stop at 10 if you think you’ve reached failure at that point. But you want to challenge yourself. If you stick to the program, after a while you won’t believe how heavy a weight you can lift. You are stronger than you think. Believe me, this exercise really WORKS! I see the result myself.
