This month two years ago I started my diet and now I’m back again. Today, June 2010, It’s another weight loss year. I will start my weight loss journey once again. I will name this journey “letters to my body.”

Fell Off The Wagon

After a week vacation, I’m back to my diet again…

Nutrisystem Weight Loss Program: Is It Worth It?

I am so proud of myself. Last week I did my exercise for 5 days in a row, an hour each. GOOD JOB SUZANA!! The exercises varied from Pilates, Yoga, Weight Lifting, Taebo Cardio, Body Sculpt and Power Walk.

It’s amazing when you start programing your mind to achieve a weight loss goal, you feel guilty when you fail or skip doing a thing from your to “do lists”.

Since I started my Nutrisystem weight loss program 3 weeks ago, I try to totally focus my mind on the program. I want to be successful in shedding pounds from my body. If other people can do that, I can do that as well. I try to be really disciplined in following the Nutrisystem weight loss program guide and rules.

I try to exercise 5 days a week. It’s really tough sometimes. There are times I don’t want to work out because of laziness or fatigue. BUT all the time I’m feeling guilty if I skip my exercise or eat junk food. I am afraid I will gain back all the weight that I’ve tried so hard to loose. I have already spent money, time, entergy, etc… and I don’t want to ruin all the hard work and all the resources just because of laziness? Nay! nay! nay! Beside that, I’ve seen RESULTS and that motivates me to keep going! Read More

Lose 5 pounds in 2 weeks

Alert! Alert!… Today I want to make an important announcement for all of you that I officially lost 6 pounds within 15 days of my joining the Nutrisystem diet. Weeeehuuuuuu..I’m so happy. I can’t believe I can lose weight so easily. Well!! not that easily actually :)

Especially, I want to thank myself and my husband who is really supportive of my effort since the beginning.

But please don’t misunderstand me okay, this success wouldn’t have happened as quickly as it has now if it comes from the diet alone. I myself make a big contribution. How?? by doing exercise +/- 1 hour a day for 5 days a week. As long as you follow the dieting guideline you will be on the right track. Read More

Nutrisystem Life Day 5

Today I’m off work. I had carpenter working on our condo. They built a storage room underneath the stairs. I didn’t measure myself this morning so I don’t know how much weight I lost today.

This morning I had cranberry orange pastry and banana for my breakfast. I had salad, fat free Italian dressing and a boiled egg. For my afternoon snack I had fat free blueberry yogurt. And I had another yummy mashed potato & meatloaf with tomato sauce, steam broccoli and carrot. Plus peanut butter bar for my desert. Read More

Nutrisystem Life Day 4

Day 4. This morning my husband and I ran to the bathroom to measure ourselves. I can’t believe my scale pointed to 116lbs. I was so excited. This morning I ate maple brown sugar oatmeal, half of banana and soya milk. I had chocolate crunch bar for my lunch and for dinner I had salad, a biscuit and a slice of turkey bacon. for my exercise I did my breakthru pilates sculpt for 40 minutes. Had my shower and then we watched movie that we rented from blockbuster. The movie titled was “30 days night.” It was kind of a gory film but entertaining.

Nutrisystem Life Day 1

Today is my first day on testing the Nutrisystem diet. I weight myself early this morning. The scale pointed to 119lbs. I ate my Nutrisystem Breakfast Entree. It’s an apple strudel scone. The size is not as big as in the picture. In the plastic wrap it says something like “Perfectly Portioned for Weight Loss.” The strudel was DEL!!!!licious. I drank 8 oz soya milk and ate half of banana as an additional of breakfast plan. I felt pretty good and ready to work.

I brought it to work–chicken noodle soup for my lunch and 1 small pear. At 10 am I was so hungry, my tummy was singing ” oerk..oerk…” I ate half of my fruit to calm down my tummy but I was still hungry. I went to lunch around 2 and I was desperately hungry. Read More

Why I joined Nutrisystem?

According to my BMI (Body Mass Index) I’m not fat at all. I used to weigh 100lbs, wearing size 0-2 clothes and looking good. BUT that was 4 years ago just before I got married. Since then, I’ve gained 25 pounds! Obviously marriage makes me happy. My husband and I love to eat. We enjoy being together and eating good food. The result is that we missed the part where we need to take care of ourselves.

Personally, I disagree with BMI formula that’s says I’m in a healthy weight. Being 5 inches tall and 125lbs, I think I’m in the fat category. I have a pear body type where my belly, thighs, bottom and calves were the first parts to gain weight. They jiggle and look like an orange peel. I try to love my body but I don’t think I like those parts when I’m gaining weight.

Last year I tried to loose weight and I succeeded in losing 15 pounds within 8 months. I was so happy. BUT maintaining a slim weight is like caring for plants that you need to water and nurture so they can grow healthy. You can’t just loose weight and then after you achieve your goal, put it in the closet and forget about it. Read More
